Boat

The Dixie Queen is a large replica 19th century paddle steamer. Her size and luxury features are sure to impress as you join us on the this shared Christmas Dinner Party.

Split over 2 decks, her facilities include dining areas with viewing windows down each side of the room. High specification DJ sound system, lighting, dance floor, fully stocked bar and2 outside areas.

Sailing West from Butlers Wharf Pier, enjoy cruising down to Canary Wharf, Greenwich, the O2 and the Thames Barrier before turning and heading back. Your guests will be captivated as Tower Bridge is raised especially for you to pass before finishing at Tower Millennium Pier.

The Dixie Queen is centrally heated throughout, making her warm and welcoming throughout the winter months.

Schedule

The cruise runs to a very strict timetable and unfortunately we cannot wait for any late arrivals.

It is your responsibility to arrive at the pier in plenty of time for your cruise to avoid any disappointment.

We recommend that you arrive no later than fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled boarding time to ensure that you are ready to board.

Please be advised that once the boat departs, it cannot return to the pier to collect passengers, and refunds will not be offered in such circumstances.

Inclement Weather

The Cruise operates regardless of the weather unless in conditions of poor visibility. The Captain will make the decision on the day if the cruise will not operate. You will be informed of your options on the day if this affects you. Our vessels are closed in so you will not be affected by wind, snow or rain.

  I did this trip 10 years ago and we didnt stop for 30 minutes after reaching the first leg of the trip. Also, there used to be a band but  now just a singer with a backing track who seemed to be on a  break most of the trip. Also, at the end of the cruise we arrived 20 mintues early so just circled the dock run down the clock. The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben were just past the dock but we didnt go past it for some reason. Dress code was supposed to be smart casual but people turned up in their trainers and is they were going to the pub. One couple even tried to board with a baby but thanksfully they were turned away. I cant recommend this trip in its current form.
